Therefore, the readme file re- fers to the user manual "Utility Routines" of the OSD version V6.0A (edition march 2004) Order number U403-J-Z125-8-76 . This readme file contains the very few modifications of SPCCNTRL V15.0B to SPCCNTRL V15.0A. For work with SPCCNTrl v15.0b, you will need the the manual "Utility Routines" of OSD V6.0A and this readme file. SPCCNTRL V15.0B offers the same functions as SPCCNTRL V15.0A. SPCCNTRL V15.0B supports BS2000/OSD V6.0B. The present readme file describes SPCCNTRL version V15.0B. The page references of this readme file correspond to the user ma- nual "Utility Routines BS2000/OSD V6.0A". 2 SPCCNTRL version number The version numbering in file names of SPCCNTRL V15.0A and V15.0B is the same. Example: SYSLNK.SPCCNTRL.150 3 Installation Same as for SPCCNTRL V15.0A 4 System Environment and Delivery SPCCNTRL V15.0B is delivered with BS2000/OSD V6.0B. BS2000/OSD V6.0B replaces BS2000/OSD V6.0A. All files delivered have same file names as for SPCCNTRL V15.0A. The following files are added for delivery of SPCCNTRL V15.0B: SYSRME.SPCCNTRL.150.D - Readme File in German language, SYSRME.SPCCNTRL.150.E - Readme File in English language. 5 Execution and Environment SPCCNTRL V15.0B runs on BS2000/OSD V6.0B. - 1 - A 6 Functions of SPCCNTRL V15.0B Same as for SPCCNTRL V15.0A As a general hint to the customer, there are two new BS2000 , commands offered by OSD V6.0B, which may avoid the use of SPCCNTRL in standard cases: LIST-CATALOG-ENTRY for diagnosis of special catalog entries, SHOW-PUBSET-CATALOG-ALLOCATION for display of the catalog usa- ge and possible extension. Additionally OSD6.0B offers automatic extension of catalogs on demand during operation. 6.1 Support of Catalog Format "extra large" SPCCNTRL V15.0B supports the new catalog format "extra large" as offered since OSD6.0B. This catalog format provides increa- sed capcacity for the special catalogs of SM pubsets by seve- ral catalog files. For this case, the use of SPCCNTRL has a few restrictions. For the SPCCNTRL statement CHECK CATALOG on SM pubsets of ca- talog format "extra large", only the first catalog file (TSOS- CAT.P00, TSOSCAT.M00, TSOSCAT.J00 ) of each special catalog is checked when a special catalog was selected (SEL = PRIV / MIG / JV ). Without selection (SEL = ALL), all catalog files of the special catalogs will be checked. The similiar restriction applies to the SPCCNTRL statements DISPLAC CATALOG, LIST CATALOG, TRACE CATALOG. 7 Changed and new Messages No messages have been changed or added. - 2 -
