The SoftBooks® are stored as pdf files. The Adobe Acrobat
Reader program is required to view the books and print the SoftBooks on a PC.
When installing the Adobe Reader, a plug-in to the HTML browser (for expample Internet
Explorer® or Mozilla Firefox®) is automatically incorporated, thus making it
possible to read the SoftBooks directly on the Internet.
Anyone wishing to browse through the SoftBooks via the Internet should deactivate
the "Allow Background Download of Entire File" option under File/Preferences/Internet...
in the Acrobat Reader. Then, only the relevant page will be transferred
instead of the entire file.
